Maloney makes it official: he no longer wants to be Congressman

Thursday, July 12, 2018 (Goshen, NY) – Today James D. O'Donnell, the Republican, Conservative and Reform party candidate for New York's 18th Congressional District, released the following statement regarding Sean Maloney's decision to file petitions for Attorney General:

"Sean Maloney has made it official, he no longer wants to be a Congressman." O'Donnell continued, "It's clear that Sean will spend the next few months campaigning from Montauk to Buffalo, ignoring his responsibilities to people of the 18th Congressional District and failing to do his job in Washington. We deserve better."

"Sean should do the right thing and decline his nomination for Congress," O'Donnell said. "In the event that Sean continues to try and run for two offices at the same time, we will exhaust all legal and administrative remedies to ensure that the interests of the 18th Congressional District are fully represented by someone who actually wants the job."
