Wednesday, May 2, 2018 (Goshen, NY) — Today, the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee added James D. O'Donnell, the Republican, Conservative and Reform party candidate for New York's 18th Congressional District, to its “Young Guns” program, designating him as “On the Radar.”
“James O’Donnell is an exciting new addition to our Young Guns program,” said NRCC Chairman Steve Stivers.
“As a former Chief of Police and current Orange County Legislator, James’ record of public service is unparalleled. His bold reforms have saved Orange County taxpayers millions of dollars and created economic opportunity. I look forward to working with James to expand our Republican majority.”
O'Donnell recently filed raising over $200,000 for the first fundraising quarter of 2018.
"I'm grateful for the support of Chairman Stivers and the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee. Our campaign is focused on national security, creating a fair playing field for women, and making sure everyone prospers from the tremendous boost to our economy," said O'Donnell. "I look forward to working with the Republican majority in Congress to fight for our communities and ensure we continue to put the people above politics."
O'Donnell's opponent, Sean Maloney was recently ranked as one of the most partisan members of Congress by the Lugar Center.
"After five years in Washington, Sean Maloney has cemented his record as a hyper-partisan career politician who has failed to deliver for our communities." O'Donnell continued, "It's time the Hudson Valley had a proven leader who is dedicated to solving our problems in a bipartisan way. I am that leader."
